Equipment needed: Measuring tape, pencil, level, drill with ¼” masonry or standard drill bit, Philips screwdriver, pliers,  3/8” hex driver and 3/8” wrench. Brackets, screws, plastic anchors and arm mounting bolts are included with each order

I. Measure for "Z" Brackets - 2 pcs.

Using a tape measure, measure vertically up from both top corners of your window, to determine the height of the awning mount. Shoreline recommends 8".

Mark both locations with a pencil. Use a level to verify the location of the marks, if possible.

II. Measurement of Arm Mount Brackets - 2 pcs.

Measure 30" down the wall from the bottom mark of your "Z" brackets on both sides of the window. Make a mark with your pencil 2.5" from the edge of the window. This will be the top mounting hole of your Arm Mounting Bracket.

Hold the Bracket in position and mark the bottom hole.

III. Drill

Using your 1/4" masonry or standard drill, pre-drill the 1st layer of wood siding or stucco. It there is no solid wood backing, insert one of the plastic anchors provided. NOTE: Be sure to fill around the hole with sealant to avoid the possibility of moisture intrusion.

IV. Attaching Brackets

Attach both "Z' brackets and Arm Mounting Brackets as shown, using the 3" long mounting screws provided. Be sure to leave the "Z" brackets loose so your awning can drop into place. They will be tightened in a later step.

V. Installing the Awning

Insert one arm into the front bar as shown.

Place awning in "Z" brackets as shown.

Attach awning arm to Arm Bracket with 3/8" bold and acorn nut provided. Tighten, but do not over tighten.

Tighten wood screws in "Z" brackets as shown.

Insert remaining arm into arm bracket with 3/8" bolt and acorn nut provided. Tighten, but do not over tighten.
